Some of tho local potatoes which aro now coming on the market require picking over and this further reduces tho return. The price locally shows 110 alteration from tho mid-week, £2 5s a ton f.0.b., sacks included, and £L 5s 011 trucks, and merchants aro not keen Fowl feed is unchanged at 3s 9d a bushel, f.0.b., sacks extras, and oats at 2s 7*d to 2o 8d a bushel for A grade Cartons, Lyttolton; Southern ports a halfpenny lower. Thero is no change in tho value of small seeds. BRITISH WAR LOAN British Wireless ItUGBI, Oct. 5 War loan, 3} per cent, is quoted to-day at £lO5 7s 6d, compared, with £lO5 I.os yesterday.
