PIPES AND CIGAKtf PRACTICE IN ENGLAND (Received October 2, 10.5 p.m.) MELBOURNE. Oct. 2 A resident of Melbourne, Mr. S. Sparling, who returned from England to-day, discussed the growth of smoking among women abroad. He said that to see women smoking pipes or cigars now was a common sight' in English hotels and the lounges of theatres.
