RUSSIA'S STRENGTH
VISITOR IMPRESSED JAPAN DEEMED INFERIOR (Received September 26. 7.55 p.m.) SHANGHAI, Sept. 26 "If war occurs between Japan and Russia, Japan certainly will be defeated, and that will be the end of Japan," declared Dr. Sherwood Eddy, a well-known Y.M.C.A. leader and lecturer, in the course of an interview in Shanghai. • Dr. Eddy said that during a recent visit to Moscow he was deeply impressed by the strength of the Soviet's military machine, particularly by the Air Force.
