GOLDEN DAFFODILS
PAPATOETOE FLOWER SHOW FINE DECORATIVE EFFECT LIST OF THE AWARDS There was a splendid array of spring flowers at the Papatoetoe and District Horticultural Society Show in the Jubilee Hall yesterday. An elaborate decorative scheme with plants and greenery, which had been carried out by lady members of the society, formed a pleasing betting. A special feature was a miniature pond laid out in the centre of the floor. Encircled bv plants, ferns and flowers the pond, which contained many goldfish, was a great attraction. Among special exhibits were a Waratah bloom, a Chalcedon iris of rare colour, and " Pink Lady " daffodils, the blooms being of a pinkish shade. The judges were Mr. H. B. ,T. Bull (flowers) and Mrs. Bull and Miss O'Loughlin (decorative sections). The awards were as follows:

The judge. Mr. VV. C. E. George, of Huntly, commented on both the quantity and tlie quality of the blooms. The show was well attended by both townspeople and visitors from the surrounding district. DISPLAY AT HENDERSON FINE QUALITY OF BLOOMS A beautiful display was made at the St. Andrew's Horticultural Society daffodil show held yesterday at Henderson. The show was opened by the judge, Mr. F. G. E. Cullen, who commented on the fine quality and the number of the exhibits. A feature of the show was the magnificent exhibition display of daffodils by the Sunnyside Bulb Farm.
