HOCKEY ASSOCIATION

AUSTRALIAN VISITORS FAREWELL BALL A fitting conclusion to the visit of the Australian hockey team that has been touring New Zealand was the farewell ball given at the Peter Pan Cabaret last evening by the Combined Auckland Hockey Associations. As a compliment to the visitors, the cabaret had been decorated with the Waratah and boronia (native flowers of Australia) and the New Zealand tea-tree. Tho green and gold colours of the visiting team, combined with the blue and white streamers of the Auckland Hockey Association, were used in a canopy effect over the dance floor, completing a most attractive decorative scheme.

On arrival, the guests were received by Mr. H. Watts and Mr. J. Kiff, executive members of the Auckland Hockey Association. The ladies on the committee present weflre: —Mrs. G.
