"DOMINION CHAMPIONSHIPS

In the event of Auckland's application for the New Zealand Rowing championship* being successful, it was decided at a meeting of the Auckland Rowing Association executive last evening to hold the events on the Whau estuary on February 9. Nominations for officers on the New Zealand Council were made as follows:—President, M* H. W. Hudson; vice-president, Mr. A. C. Norden; delegates, Messrs. Menzies, Innes, Cane and Stacey. The presentation of a silver cup for the Auckand junior pair-oar championship and miniatures for five years b$ Mr. C. G. Herdman was acknowledged with thanks. The resignations of the secretary and treasurer. A. M. Doull and J. R. H. Bias, respectively, were received. The draft of the report and balance-sheet to be presented at the annual meeting was approved, and several remits to be forwarded to the New Zealand Council were drafted. _ Advice was received that the Wanffanm Union Club's eight-oar crew, which is to compete at the Melbourne Centenary' regatta, would be travelling to Australia through Auckland. It was dedided that the crew should be the guests of the Auckland Association during their visit. The crew will be joined at Auckland by R. B. Smith, of the Waitemata Boating Club, who is to contest the sculling events at the regatta*
