ROTARY FORUM
GATHERING AT ROTORUA LARGE NUMBER ATTENDING More than 40 members of the Auckland Rotary Club, together with 15 from Hamilton and 12 from Hastings and Napier, will attend £lie Auckland club's forum, which is to open at Rotorua this evening. The forum will be one of the largest vgt held in New Zealand. Mr. G. L. Taylor, president of the Auckland Rotary Club, will be in charge. This evening's session will be devoted principally to a discussion on world affairs, and will be in the hands of the Auckland club. Mr. W. J. Holdsworth will lead the discussion and will speak on the question whether under present world conditions there is a need for revision of Rotary's sixth object, the active promotion of friendly international relations. To-morrow evening's session will be in the charge of the Hamilton club and a paper on "The Modern Boy" will be read by Mr. J. Treloar. A feature of the recreations arranged for the forum will be a bogey handicap golf competition for the Proud Cup. In the past this competition has been held in Auckland among members of the Auckland club, but this year it will be open to all attending the forum. Tennis and bowling also will be played. Some members left for Rotorua yesterday and others will travel to-day. Members will leave for their homes on Sunday.
