The county scored 206 and 331 (Bowea four for 66, Verity four for 79), and the Rest, 385, for nine wickets declared, and 155 for two wickets (Wyatt 85 not out, Hendren 52 not out). By scoring 114 runs against Derbyshire in 63 minutes, on August 17, F. E. Woolley (Kent) won a trophy for the fastest three-figure score this season.
