Ift The story of the love romance of Prince George and Princess Marina is told to-day by a Greek writer, Madame Balti, who is a friend of the Princess. The writer states that the Princess twice spent the winter in London, and frequently met Prince George. Later she refused an invitation to visit a European Court, where she would have been welcomed as a bride.
Last May a woman friend asked Prince George if he was thinking of any charming Princess. He replied: " If Marina were of the same mind as myself —hut I think I- must leave that to Fate."
Prince Paul, the Princess' brother-in-law, learned of the "remark later and invited Prince George to Yugoslavia. Prince George happened to mention that he was calling in a manicurist. The Princess said: " I am a good manicurist. Will you trust your hands'* to me?" While she bent over the fil« Prince George proposed.
