GROUND SUBSIDING
QUEENSLAND MINE AREA CRACK BECOMES WIDER BRISBANE. Sept. 19 Work in the Mount Isa mines and the locality is practically at a standstill. A few days ago a crack 250 feet long appeared on the surface in the Black Star area, which opened to a width of 15 inches. The subsidence continued and the crack now is from three to four feet wide.
