WAIMAUKU
The Waimauku branch of the Jjeague of Mothers held its seventh birthday party in the local hall. The tables were decorated with daffodils and arum liles. A large number of mothers and their children attended: also members of the Arataki Girl Guide Company and officers of the Waimauku Women's Institute. A very enjoyable programme had been arranged by the committee who were hostesses for the afternoon. Chorus songs were given by Helensville High School girls and a tap dance by Miss Audrey Beagle (Helensville). A humorous sketch entitled "Hearts Love'' was given by Mesdames T. Kerr-Taylor, C. A. Jackson, Morrison, T. Charter and Miss M. Watts.
