YOUNG GIRLS ASSAULTED
OFFENDER SENT TO PRISON COMMENT BY MAGISTRATE [FROM OV T R OWN correspondent] HAMILTON. Wednesday A plea of guilty was entered by Theodore Vincent Casey, aged 41, before Mr. S. L. Paterson, S.M., in the Hamilton Police Court to-day to two charges of assaulting young girls. Detective A. J- White said that accused was seen to place his arm round a young girl near the Hamilton water tower on Monday. Yesterday several complaints were received that a man was accosting young girls in the same C. M. Norris, for accused, said the offences were the outcome of drink. Casey did no harm to anyone. "In spite of previous substantial sentences, you do not seem to- have mended your ways," said the magistrate, in sentencing accused to two months' imprisonment on the hrst count, and admitting him to probation for three years, and prohibiting him on the second.
