OHOPE BUSH RESERVE
PLAN TO PROVIDE TRACKS [BY TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT] WHAKATANE, Wednesday Permission has been received by the Whakatane County Council from the Native Department to cut tracks through the Ohope bush reserve of 132 acres. It is planned to cut tracks from Whakatane Heads around Kolii Point to Otarawairere Bay, and from there to Ohopd. This would provide a walking distance of about five miles to the beach through beautiful bush country and around the coast.
