TRAFFIC INSPECTORS
CONTROL IN THE WAIKATO "CRITICISM NOT JUSTIFIED" [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Wednesday Reference to the recent criticism he made of the action of Waikato traffic inspectors in holding up motorists to inspect their lights and braking systems was made by Mr. A. Grayson, president of the Automobile Association, Auckland, at the annual meeting of the association's Hamilton advisory committee this evening. Mr. Grayson said that he had that day discussed the matter with the inspectors, and had found that there had been a misunderstanding. He was satisfied that the inspectors had only been doing their duty, and that the criticism was not justified.
