SALVATION ARMY
WOMEN MEMBERS' BONNETS NO CHANGE INTENDED LONDON, August 29 Officials at tho headquarters of the Salvation Army deny a report that the High Council has discussed any proposal to change the uniform of women members. It is stated that all the women are proud of the bonnet which they are glad to wear. The report referred to was published in the Evening News, which said the High Council was considering the abolition of the army's bonnets as being out of date. It was also proposed, said the paper, that the women members should be allowed to wear silk stockings. The ban on members attending cinemas might be lifted.
