MANY IMPROVEMENTS OUTLINE OF PROPOSALS CALCUTTA, August 29 Among important developments of civil aviation' in India will be provision for night flying on the CalcuttaKarachi route. There are to be beacons at intervals of 100 miles. Most of ,th« landing grounds will have boundary lights and illuminated wind indicators. Pilots will always have one beacon and often two in view during night flying. The main aerodromes are to be fully equipped with floodlighting. Other projected improvements include new aerodromes and larger hangars at Calcutta, Chittagong and Rangoon, and also meteorological observatories.
