JUBILEE DANCE
NORTH SHORE ROWING CLUB ' To celebrate the diamond jubilee of the North Shore Rowing Club, a successful dance was held in the Peter Pan Cabaret on Wednesday evening. Prizes which had been won in intcrclub competition were presented during the evening. Modern and old-time dance music was played by the orchestra and a demonstration of the quickstep and waltz given by Miss Margaret O'Connor and Mr. Priestly, was watched with interest. On arrival the guests were received by the president, Mr. W. F. McLean, and Mrs. McLean, who wore a Irock of black crepe romaine and gold lame. The ladies on the conuuitte present were:—Miss B. D'Authreau, who wore pink floral organdie; Miss R. Walters, in lilac souple satin; Miss H. Gardiner, caineo pink craquelle; Miss S. Walsh, geranium red faille; Miss G. Charman, black Chantilly lace. There were also present: —Mrs. it. &>. Bennett, in japonica pink satin; Mrs. T. G. Morrison, geum red lace; Mrs. G. Burrett, electric blue crepe faille; Mrs. J. C. Riley, black Chantilly lace; Mrs. B. Webster, apricot marocain; Mrs. D. Grimshaw, pastel pink lace and georgette; Mrs. H. W. Wolf, lacquer red souple satin; Mrs. J. W"" liams, ciel blue windswept satin; Mrs. J. Dryland, black and pink marocain; Mrs. A. Montague, black satin beaute; Mrs. G. W. Drake, gold brocaded net; Mrs. B. Rutledge, vieux rose chiffon. Miss L. King, opal green satin; Miss B. Robinson, wistaria tinted satin; Miss E. Francis, cameo pink craquelle; Miss C. Baker, black crushed velvet; Miss P. Oliver, daffodil marocain; Miss W. Burton, leaf green floral crepe; Miss I. M. Butler, black Chantilly lace and georgette; Miss E. Gates, beige patterned dimity; Miss G. Wells, Burgundy crepe faille; Miss Eileen Dwyer, rose silver threaded organdie; Miss Betty Walsh, scarlet marocain; Miss Lyn Edwards, pastel angelskin lace; Miss E. Coats, lacquer red crepe romaine; Miss B. Jepson, ivory satin and black tulle; Miss A. Glasgow, heather brown satin; Miss N. Campbell, ivory souple satin; Miss E. Allwood, ivory satin; Miss T. Lorimer, black ring velvet; Miss B. Page, shrimp pink floral georgette; Miss A. Dunlop, magnolia satin; Miss N. Wilson, lobelia blue organdie.
