POPULATION OF NELSON
20,000 CLUB SCHEME A proposal for the formation of a Nelson Twenty Thousand Club, having as its principal object, the increase of the city's papulation to 20,000, was mooted at a recent meeting of the Nelson Chamber of Commerce by the president, Mr. B. Trathen. He urtced that the excellent climate and the amenities of life in Nelson, which now has a population of 12,000. were such as to justify the increase. It was decided to convene a meeting of representatives of various institutions to consider the singestion.
