ROOPE ROOSTER MATCHES SEMI-FINALS TO-MORROW RICHMOND AND PONSONBY The semi-final matches in the Roope Rooster knock-out competition of the Auckland Rugby League will be decided at Carlaw Park to-morrow, when fast and keen contests are anticipated. In the principal attraction, Richmond, winners of the senior championship, will meet the young Ponsonbv team, which is likely to give a good display under fine ground conditions. Richmond, however, is showing its best form again and will be hard to defeat. As a curtain-raiser C'iiy, which showed pood form last Saturday in defeating Xewton, will try conclusions with Marist, and a close match should result, with, play likely to bo fast throughout. A special round is being played for those teams defeated in th-i Roope Rooster. Two matches will be decided on the No. 2 ground, Devcnport ploying Papakura at three o'clock and Mount Albert meeting Newton in the curtain-raiser.
