ANNUAL GOLF BALL The Agricultural and Pastoral Hall, Kaitaia, presented a festive appearance when, bedecked with lemon, black and orange streamers, interspersed with balloons, it was the centre of attraction to tho majority of the younger set of Kaitaia and surrounding districts. Tho occasion was that of tho Kaitaia Golf Club's annual ball, which proved a very popular function. Among the ladies present were: — Mrs. M. Hammond, Mrs. T. H. Kenny, Mrs. K. A. Knight, Mrs. J. Rule, Mrs. Eric Stensness, Mrs. Harold Thompson, Mrs. Watts, Mrs* A. Wilkinson, Mrs. P. Yendell, Mrs. E. Buckley, Mrs. J. T. Clark, Mrs. A. Gray, Mrs. T. S. McMillan, Mrs. Stneaton, Miss D. Mcintosh, Miss U. Albrighton, Miss E. Baker, Miss Z. Bergan, Miss P. Dean, Miss N. Elliott, Miss A. Gallagher, Miss L. Lawes, Miss I). Puckev, Miss B. Reed, Miss E. Matthews, Miss V. Matthews, Miss D. Thornell, Miss V. Wagoner, Miss D. White, Miss E. White, Miss E. White, Miss C. Wilkinson, Miss S. Wood.
About 40 ladies gathered in the parish hall, Kaitaia, where, under the control of Mrs. Lunn and helpers, a farewell was tendered to Miss Audrey Bell, who is shortly leaving for England, where her marriage is to take place. Mrs. Lunn presented Miss Bell with a handsome travelling rug. A farewell to Miss Audrey Bell, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. H. 8011, of Kaitaia, who is leaving shortly for England, where her marriage is to take place to Mr. C. E. H. Watson, was given to her by her friends in the Kaitaia Parish Hall. The evening was almost entirely spent in dancing, music being supplied by Mrs. F. Holder. Mrs. L. H. Bell, Mrs. E. King, and Miss S. Wood. Mr. J. Keene was in charge of floor arrangements. Two songs b.y Mr. O. Beck were much appreciated. At tho conclusion of supper Miss F. Matthews spoke of the regret of Miss Bell's many friends at her coming departure, and Miss C. Holder made a presentation to the guest of honour. Miss Bell responded, and her father, Mr. L. H. Bell, also spoke on her bchalf. Mr. Watson, who is living in London, is the son of Canon C. A. B. Watson, of St. Paul's, Auckland. Tho wedding is to take place from the residence of Miss Bell's uncle, Lord Rutherford. Miss Bell leaves for Englarid on August 24.
