SALES IN COUNTRY FRANKTON QUOTATIONS FAT SHEEP IN DEMAND [FROM OCR OWN correspondent] HAMILTON, Tuesday Fat ewes met with good competition at the Frankton saleyards to-day, the market being firm. There was a smaller yarding of fat wethers, which sold readily at recent quotations. Unfinished wethers, however, were not in demand, and only a few sales were made. Fat hoggets were yarded in average numbers, and sold under spirited bidding, the demand for forward-conditioned woolly hoggets being especially good. An ordinary yarding of ox beef sold at average rates. Cow and"heifer beef was penned in smaller numbers, and for prime quality tho market remained firm. Lighter and second quality lines showed an easing tendency. There was an average yarding of fat pigs, with values firm at slightly easier rates. Othsr dairy cattle showed a slight advance on the last sale.
