INDUSTRIAL RECOVERY . PLEA FOR ARBITRATION A plea for industrial arbitration was made by Sir Montague Burton, spcaking in England recently, at the general meeting of Montague Burton, Limited. Legislation in that direction, he declared, would ensure 'the continuation of tho national recovery, and it was significant that during the period of recovery tho country had been free from industrial strife. Only those who appreciated" the full effect of tho industrial conflict which undermined recovery during the first seven of the post-war years, culminating in the 1920 upheaval, could realise the danger of leaving the long-awaited recovery to take care of itself. Generally, in Sir Montague's opinion, the outlook at tho present day was hopeful.
