Navy was shining in the line-out and McKean battered his way through, but was forced out. Navy kept up the attack and Somerville raced half the length of the field to equalise the score. A solo effort by Stuart led up to a try by Curney. Burson. then forced his way over for the Navy, making tho score at half-time 6-all. Grafton opened the game up in the second half and outclassed and outpaced their opponents. Scores were registered by Curney, Fraser, Dick (2) and Ryall. Fraser converted one try.
