COMBINATION LACKING The game between Marist and Papakura was very ragged throughout, and although tho score was close, Marist was the superior team, Thero was little combination shown by either side. The Pnpakura backs in particular lost opportunities through bad handling. The forwards, however, infused plenty of dash into their play, and wero successful in the loose. The Marist backs did a lot of useful spoiling work, although tho rear division kicked too much. It was a very disappointing display. Campbell, tho Marist fullback, played a sound game, his fielding being very certain. Glover nnd Brisbane were the pick of tho backs. Laird, Keane and Bakalich wove outstanding among the forwnrds. Tnylor and Watson were the best Papakura backs. Wilson played well at fullback. Pope and Francis were good workers among the forwards. For Marist, Campbell kicked three penalty goals.
