ALLEGED CONSPIRACY
COMPENSATION CASE MAN'S MUTILATED FINGERS (Received August 17. 11.45 p.m.) SYDNEY, August 17 Stating that accused appeared to ba the ringleader in a conspiracy, Mr. Justice White to-day sentenced a butcher, Walter Bruce Thompson, aged 35, to three months' imprisonment with hard labour on a charge of false pretences. His Honor said that Thompson had permitted a man to cut off the tops of his fingers 60 that he could share in the compensation.
