VICTORIAN DEFICIT
LESS THAN ALLOTTED SUM FUTURE OUTLOOK GOOD (Received August 14, 9.35 p.m.) MELBOURNE, August 14 The deficit for the year 1933-34 shown in the Budget presented to the Victorian Parliament to-day amounts to £769,000. This is £31,000 less than the amount allotted by the Loan Council. The deficit for the current year is estimated at £102,000, as against a limit of £480,000 fixed by the Loan Council.
