FLOURISHING INDUSTRY EXHIBITION AT OLYMPIA KEENNESS OF COMPETITION LOWER PRICES PROBABLE By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received August 14, 6.5 p.m.) British Wireless RUGBY, Augußt 13 Olympia is being prepared for this year's Radio Exhibition, which is to be opened on Thursday. It is attracting many visitors from abroad as well as from all over Britain. There are now between 6,000,000 and 7,000,000 wireless licence holders in Britain and the figure has grown to this huge total with amazing rapidity. A flourishing, progressive industry has sprung up in which competition is so keen that it is estimated a 20 per cent decrease in prices will accompany a 20 per cent increase in performance compared with sets offered last year. Low-priced television sets also will be a feature of the exhibition. Broadcasting artists are to give programmes in a temporary theatre with accommodation for 3000 people.
