FALL AT HUNT
MR. BEN MYERS INJURED HORSE STRIKES WIRE FENCE A bad fall was taken by Mr. Ben Myers toward the close of the Pakuranga Hunt lUPfit at Flat Bush, East Tamaki, yesterday afternoon, and as a result Mr. Myers had later to be admitted to a private hospital. The full extent of his injuries has not yet bedn ascertained. The hunt was following the last hare of the day along a clay road at the edge of Mr. T. Hancock's property, when the hare suddenly turned and entered the property. Mr. Myers' horse, Bamba, struck the wire fence while jumping and Mr. Myers was thrown heavily. He was assisted to his car by members of the hunt, and was taken to hospital. An X-ray examination will be conducted to-day, but it is not thought his injuries are serious. Mr. Myers, who resides at the Hotel Cargen, is a member of the committee of the Pakuranga Hunt Club, and is one of the' oldest members.
