ROTORUA NEWS
Hostesses at a very jolly dance recently were Mrs. R. Copeland Smith and Mrs. Malcolm Carr. The function was held at the clubhouse of the Rotorua Golf Club. The lounges were arranged with htifte bowls of wattle and foliage, and vases of yellow daffodils and Iceland poppies. In the dining room, where the dancing took place, were bpwJs of deep scarlet anemones and taller vases of irises and pussy willow. The hostesses received their guests in the hall, Mrs. Smith wearing a frock of autumn leaf crushed velvet, and Mrs. Carr in a gown of Burgundy red windswept velvet. Those dancing were: Mrs. S. H. Hay, Mrs. J. Herrold, Mrs. K. La Trobo Hill, Mrs. H. Bertram, Mrs. R. Griffiths, Mrs. H. Hamilton, Mrs. C. Young, Mrs. J. Speer, Mrs. M. Pierce, Mrs. E. Roe, Mrs. J. D. C. Duncan, Mrs. F. Stanicr, Mrs. Parlane, Mrs. C. G. Hitchcock, Mrs. F. Bunvard, Mrs. Bayfield, Mrs. W. S. Wall is, Mrs. H. Goodwin, Mrs. Anderson, Mrs. C. Mcllor, Miss Mitchell, Miss .loan Bertram, Miss Doria Griffiths, Miss Gweneth La Trobe Hill, Miss Muriel Coonev.
