ERADICATING RAGWORT
THE WAIKATO DISTRICT WORK FOR UNEMPLOYED [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Tuesday Farmers will bo assisted by the Unemployment Board to eradicate ragwort from their properties as from September 1, when labour will be made available for the purpose. Men will be employed for five days a week, and there will bo no stand-down week. The board will subsidise the cost to the extent of 30s for married men, and 10s for single men. Farmers who obtain labour will be required to provide food, transport and materials, and to accommodate th« men where necessary.
