MINISTERIAL CHANGES

PRESBYTERY APPOINTMENTS THREE VACANCIES FILLED Arrangements for the induction of three new ministers to Auckland suburban charges within the space of 10 days next month were made by the Auckland Presbytery last night. The resignation of one minister was accepted.

A call from St. James' Church to the Rev. R. Ferguson Fish, of Caversham, Dunedin, was presented. The Rev. E. J. Tipler, inter.im moderator of St. James', said that Mr. Fish had had some four years' experience with the London City Mission and a fairly wide experience in country and town since he came to New Zealand. The salary offered was £325, with a month's holiday and £6O for removal expenses.

The Presbytery decided to sustain the pall and forward it to the Dunedin Presbytery for transmission to Mr. Fish. The induction was fixed to take place on September 20. A call from the Balmoral Church to the Rev. R. N. Alley, of Balclutlia, was presented by the Rer. R. E. Evans. A salary of £3OO, with one month's annual holiday and £SO removal expenses, was offered. It was agreed to sustain the call. Provisional arrangements were made for the induction service on September 10.

The induction of the Rev. L. McMaster, of Ferry Road, Christchurch, to the charge of Onehunga, was fixed for September 13. The resignation of th 6 Rev. A. M. Aspland, of Knox Church, Parnell, to take effect as from August 31, was received by the Presbytery. Mr. Aspland commenced his ministry there in 1926 He asked to be granted the status of minister emeritus with a seat in the Church courts. Representatives of tho congregation paid tributes to Mr. Aspland's work and expressed their keen regret at the close of his ministry. It was decided to accept the resignation with regret, and to recommend that he be granted the status asked for. The Rev. J. A. Thomson was appointed interim moderator of tho vacancy.
