THEFT FROM CLOTHING
ONE MONTH IN PRISON A farm labourer, John Bertram Hogteart, aged 24, pleaded guilty in the Onehunga Police Court yesterday to the theft of £l. Messrs. H. J. Davies and J. E. Green, J.P.'s, were on the Bench. Constable It. Wilks said that accused tad been employed on a farm at Mangere, but left on July 16. He returned two days later for his belongings, and later a farm employee reported that he had missed £1 from his clothing. Accused at first denied the theft, but later returned the money. Accused was sentenced to one month's imprisonment.
