KOLOFF TO MEET DETTON Patrons of wrestling in Auckland should be eager to see Dan Kolofi make his first appearance at th.j Town Hali next Monday evening, when hs will meet Dcnn Detton. The Auckland Wrestling Association has been trying for some weeks to match these two wrestlers and it is anticipated that a splendid bout wO be witnessed. Koloff has given very impressive displays' in other centres in the Dominion and he ranks among the best of the oversea® matmen. His eplendid physique and ring-craft combine to make him a very hard proposition for the best of opponents. In Detton he will be meeting another fine exponent, whoso spectacular methods have earned him considerable popularity. The following amateur preliminaries havo been arrangedß. Wednesday In a professional wrestling contest last evening, Detton defeated Shikina in a fast and exciting ruatch. the Japanese being counted out after being pushed thrjugh the ropes in the eighth round. Detton gain'J a fall in the third round. Shikina submitting to a bammsxlock and figure four head scissors. Shikina ovened in the fifth with an arm bar and body press.
