CHAMPIONSHIP CONCLUDED RICHMOND SECURES HONOURS The senior grade championship was awarded to Richmond at last evening's meeting of the Auckland Rugby League, when the chairman, Mr. G. Grey Campbell, said he saw no reason why the competition should be prolonged, as Richmond was six clear points ahead of the second team, and only two more matches remained to be played. The senior reserve grade competition will be continued until definitely finalised. It was decided that no recognised senior A grade player would be eligible to play in the remaining reserve grade matches. A letter was received from Dargaville asking lor support in forming a league in the Wairoa district. The: prospects were considered bright. The mutter was referred to the New Zealand Council for action. The Northcote returned soldiers wrote asking for a senior grade match to be played at Northcote in aid of local funds. It was decided, if possible, to arrange a special match later in the season, A requeet for a charily match to be played at Point Chevalier was given favourable consideration in connection with the annual charity day, when the proceeds will be allotted to the fund for injured players. Tho chairman reported that the Richmond Club left on its tour on Tuesday morning, and that Mr. J. Redwood was appointed manager. The team will play at New Plymouth to-day and at Napier on Saturday.
