TRIBUTE TO COLLEAGUE POLICE TO CONTROL POINTS All members of the City Council traffic staff will attend the funeral of their former colleague, Mr. R. C, Robinson, which will leave his late residence, 43 St. Stephen's Avenue, Parnell, at 11 o'clock this morning fop the Hillsborough Cemetery. Arrangements were made yesterday by the chief traffic inspector., Mr. Gr. R. "Motorists have lost a very sincere friend in the passing of 'Robby,'" said the president of the Automobile Association, Sir. A. Grayson, at last evening's meeting of the council of the association, when referring to the death of Mr. Robinson. "Although a traffic inspector's job is a difficult and trying one, Mr. Robinson carried out his duties cheerfully and efficiently," said Mr. Grayson. "His happy disposition sent motorists on their way feeling better for his presence." Sir. Gr«.yson added that Mr. Ilobinson had been of great assistance to the traffic department of the Auckland City Council in helping to formulate the city traffic control system. Tributes to Mr. Robinson were paid by other members, arid it was decided to send a letter of condolence to the widow, and to be represented at tha funeral this morning.
