AUCKLAND UNION MEETSNG | EFFORTS AT BROADCASTING REPRESENTATIVE FIXTURES Subject to -he approval of the New Zealand Broadcasting Hoard, special arrangements will be made by tlio Auckland' Rugby Union for a broadcast next Saturday at Eden Park of a running description of the All Blacks' match against Now South Wales direct from the Sydney Cricket Ground. This decision/ was arrived at by the nianagement committee of the union at last evening's meeting. It is intended to start the broadcast at Eden Park at the conclusion of-the Manukau-Grafton senior grade A game J on No. 1 ground. Loud-speakers will ; bo erected in such positions as to serve both the grandstand and terraces. • , In response to an application from the I Referees" Association, it was resolved to tract permission for the Auckland referees I to play 'their annual fixture at Helensviile [ on September I. The New Zealand Union notified the reinstatement of N. Dunn. A letter was received from the Unemployed Boys' Association asking for financial assistance. It was agreed to donate £6. The special subcommittee set up to co into the quest ion of colou-3 brought down a compieliensive report. It was decided to supply esich member of the committee with" n copy of the report and to bring thli matter up for further consideration at a later meeting.
