POULTRY REGISTRATION
Sir, —Tho attention of the New Zealand Poultry Board has been drawn to some erroneous statements that have appeared in letters to newspapers with reference to the registration of poultryruns under the Poultry-runs Registration Act, 1933. It has been stated that it is not necessary to register nor to pay a fee in respect of poultry which are kept for breeding purposes and which would otherwise have come under the provisions of the Act. Breeding stock are not mentioned in the Act, and must bo included in the number of poultry shown on tho application for registration. Persons who have been misled in this matter and who have deducted tho number of their breeding poultry should amend their applications and pay such additional fee as may be required. Those who have not registered at all, on the same grounds, have committed a breach of the Act. J. N. McLean, Secretary, N.Z. Poultry Board.
