PUBLIC TRUST BALL
GAY SCENE PRESENTED The Peter Pan Cabaret wns thronged with dancers last evening for the annual ball of the District Public Trustee and officers of the Public Trust Office. "Under tho shaded lights the varied colourings of the frocks, and the bowls of multi-coloured Iceland poppies with which tho cabaret had been arranged were particularly attractive. An exhibition of the bolero, and the carioca, given by Miss Margaret O'Connor and Mr. Basil Leitch, was watched with interest. The chaperonos and ladies on the committee present were: —Mrs. A. S. Faire, who wore a frock of moss green windswept crepe; Mrs. J. G. Nilson, in peach souplo satin; Miss L. E. Kennedy, ciel blue sand crepe; Miss C. M. Rankin, daffodil velvet; Miss M. J. Maxwell, primrose taffeta. There were also present:—Mrs. A. L. McKeown, in willow green satin; Mrs. G. Myers, black suede angelskin; Mrs. It. C. Russell, black crepe romaine; Mrs. W. Foley, black chiffon patterned in cerise and silver; Mrs. R. G. Stokes, ivory angelskin lace; Mrs. S. R.
