WINCHESTER CUP CONTEST AVON BY CHRISTCHURCH [BY TELEGRAPH —PBESS ASSOCIATION - ] ~ WELLINGTON, Wednesdny With a record score of 993 points out of a possible 1000, the United Miniature Rifle Club (Christchurch) ■won the Winchester Cup contest, which -- was conducted under the auspices of tho New Zealand Miniature Riile Association. A total of 52 teams competed. The previous holders, the Hutt Club, whose team was second, were two points behind the dinners, with Sumner and Redcliffs (Christchurch), 988, third, Kive men, .'each of whom fired 20 shots,
comprised a team. Possibles of 200 were
recorded by R. Williams (United), D. Lundv (Bulls), G. Crimp (Christchurch Working Men's Club) and W. Birch Longburn).
