NOTED ARTISTS
Lovers of music will have an opportunity to hear the master pianist M. Pouishnoff and tho celebrated Horace Stevens when they open a season in the Town Hall on Thursday, May 31. They enthralled Melbourne audiences throughout March in the music festival arranged by Hugo Larson. No fewer than 13 appearances wero made by the artists in Melbourne alone, and from the enthusiastic reception they were accorded, it is evident that their New' Zealand visit will create great interest. Mr. Larsen claims that only a section of tho music loving public can get tho maximum pleasure from hearing one artist perform throughout an evening. In arranging a tour of M. Pouishnoff and Horace Stevens he has tho artists who are eminently qualified to supply this wqnt. Horace Stevens' success at Covent Garden in recent years has established him as a foremost singer of the present day.
