PIANO STUDENTS
MUSICAL EVENING HELD An interesting and well-arranged programme of items was given at tho musical evening of the Auckland Piano Students'. Association last night in honour of the new associate members of the organisation. The president, Miss Joyce Parker, presided, and welcomed the members. The programme included the following items: —Piano quartette, Ist movement, sth Symphony (Beethoven), played by Misses M. Jagusch, J. Ranston, M. Slade, J. Fogarty; songs, by Mr. S. Stephenson; piano duo, Tourbillon (Melan-Guer-oult), played by Misses J. Smith and J Parker; song. Arise, O Sun (Day), by Miss Sybil Phillipps; violin solo, Slavonic Dance in E Minor (Dvorak), played by Miss Helen Gray; piano solo, Melodic in E Major, played by Miss Pearl Wallace. The accompanists were Misses Joyce Parker, Phillipps and B. Pelliam. Among those who Mere present were: —Mesdames'A. Parker, Phillipps, Fogarty, Walker, Slade, J. T. F. Mitchell, W. Golden, Jagusch, Grilfen, Ranston, Heine, Goertz, Misses JRanston, G. Walker. M. Jagusch, M. Slade, J. Fogarty, J. Hunt. J'. Wallace, Helen Gray, G. Lorie, F. Lewins, B. Golden, J. Smith, B. Pelliam, N. Jones, Mackay, B. Williams, S. Solwood, Hookpr, Melton, Rowe. S. Phillipps and M. Parker. An address by Mr. John Tait was also enjoyed.
