DEATH IN TARARUAS
POLICE PARTY DELAYED RETURN WITH TRAPPER'S BODY [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION"] "WELLINGTON, Monday Messages from the police party despatched to the Tararua Ranges to recover the body of the trapper, Mr. Alfred Young, who was found dead yesterday, state that progress back to Grcytown is slow. The party is camped to-night at Tauherenikau Cone Hut and expects to reach Grcytown to-morrow afternoon. The country in which the body was found by a search party is very difficult to traverse. Mr. Young set out on April 26 with the intention of going over grounds for which he held a trapping licence, and had arranged to meet friends at Kaitoke on May 9. As he had not been seen, search parties were organised at the end of last week, and his body was found near the cone yesterday.
