AUTOMOBILE STRIKE
MANY WORKERS AFFECTED COMPANIES' PLANTS IDLE (Received Miiy 13, 5.5 p.m.) NEW YORK, May 12 At Michigan many automobile workers were idle last night as a result of a strike at the Fisher body plant. This stoppage caused one motor company to close its plant. The strike is a protest against a reduction in piecework rates and the speeding up of assembly line workers.
