FOOTBALL ACCIDENTS

PLAYERS IN HOSPITAL THREE CONCUSSION CASES Several football accidents occurred on Saturday afternoon, keeping St. John Ambulance officers busy. The fullback of the Devonport senior League team, A. Laing, aged 24, suffered concussion playing against Newton in the curtain-raiser game at Carlaw Park. He was taken to the Auckland Hospital in a St. John ambulance. His condition last night was satisfactory. Concussion was also received by an Association footballer, James Guest, aged 23, of 36 Wairiki Road, Mount Eden, playing for the Ponsonby second grade A team at Victoria Park. Ward for concussion, and Was later taken to his homo, where lie will be confined to bed for a week.
