ANONYMOUS DONOR
BIG LIABILITY ACCEPTED GIFTS TO LONDON HOSPITAL (Received May 6. 5.5 p.m.) British Wireless RUGBY, May 5 An anonymous benefactor of St. Mary's Hospital, Paddington, has made himself liable for gifts totalling £105,000. Already he has given £.>5,000 to the hospital and be has promised in addition to double every pound received from the public up to £50,000.
The Duke of York, in announcing this offer, said that neither he nor his wife, who is president of the hospital, know the name of the donor. The only person who is aware of his identity is the chairman of the board of governors.
