CONTROLLED MILK
Sir,—ln the Heiiat,d of May 2we have an account of the arbitrary action of the Milk Council in condemning a milk vendor for supplying milk free to the Brett Home, and to families in need. On relief wages it was difficult enough to supply the needs of the little ones before this unwarranted rise in prices. Now it is impossible for the poor families to buy sufficient milk, and the resultant malnutrition will weaken our future men and women. Realising this, the milk vendor gave freely of his surplus supply to those in need. Now he must waste his milk while those who cannot afford to buy xnust go without. If such an inhuman decision by the council is allowed to go unchallenged, we can no longer call ourselves a Christian community. Milford. Dorothea Hiddlestone.
