ROAD BOARD ELECTION
MOUNT KOSKILL RESULT ONLY ONE NEW MEMBER RESTRICTED FRANCHISE The triennial general election of the Mount Roskill Road Board took place 011 Saturday. There were 12 candidates for the nine seats on the hoard, and 011 the provisional count made 011 Saturday night, eight members of the previous board were returned, the only change being that Mr. 0. The clerk 6f the board, Mr. J. H. Reich, who was the returning officer, said the board had taken legal advice 011 the matter, and was acting within its rights. All accounts had been sent out in time to give ratepayers seven to ten days' notice. There was 110 restriction as to the time by which the accounts had to be paid, and ratepayers were even entitled to pay the amount owing on the day of the election, and vote immediately afterwards. The successful candidates were:—
