FOUNDATION PROFESSORS
TRIBUTE FROM STUDENTS CEREMONY AT WELLINGTON [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Saturday Past and present students of Victoria University College to-dav paid their tribute to the four foundation professors of the college. These men, Professor H. Mackenzie, Professor J. Rankine Brown, Professor T. H. Easterfield and the late Professor R. C. MacLaurin, not only laid the foundations of the collcee, but also played an invaluable and courageous part in bringing the institution to its present eminence. The ceremony in their honour took the form of a presentation of their portraits in oils to the college, and the function was attended by students of every generation of the college's existence. The gathering itself was a manifestation of the respect and affection in which the professors were held by those who had come under their inspiring influence.
