MANUREWA NEWS
" A Trip Thro' Scotland " formed the theme of an interesting musical programme which was presented to a large audience in the Manurewa Theatre, the Rev. Father Duffy conducting the " tour " and contributing the greater part of the entertainment. Through the medium of carefully selected songs typical of the land of the heather, he conveyed his audience to many of the famous places which have been made immortal by music and song. The accompaniste was Madame Aileen Frost. Miss Hunt contributed several pianoforte solos, covering popular Scottish national songs, and a strong touch of realism was provided by Miss McLeod and Miss Mary College in several attractive dance numbers, to the accompaniment of Piper McLcod's bagpipes.
