LEAGUE OF MOTHERS
At a meeting of the city branch of tho League of Mothers Mrs. Booto spoko of the work done by Padre Flynn, superintendent of the Australian Inland Mission. Songs by Miss Bagnall and a recitation by Miss Blamires wore enjoyed. Mrs. .0. A. Lindsay presided. Sandringham. —Presided over by Mrs. Wright, the Sandringham branch met recently when Mrs. Albert Russell gave a talk on " Parental Responsibility," stressing how vital and immense that responsibility was. MrsOwens sang and community singing, led by Mrs. Russell, was enjoyed. Third Remuera Branch. —A talk on women and girls of other lands was given by Mrs. J. Bradstreet to the Third Remuera branch. Mrs. P. D. Wright presided. A song was sung by Mrs. J. Norton, who was accompanied by Mrs. A. Grigg. Mrs. Stanton gave the thought for tho month. Tokanui. —At a meeting of the Pokanui branch of tlio league, Mrs. Barnott presided and welcomed visitors to the meeting. These included the provincial officers, Mrs. S. 0. English (president), Mrs. F. W. \yhyta (secretary), and Mrs. R. H. Horsley (secretary of the Ponsonby branch). Ihere were also present members from thole Roro and Ngahapo branches. An address was given by Mrs. ILnghsh and Mrs. Whyte was another speaker. Musical and elocutionary items were rendered by tho Misses Howcroft, Miss JV Walters', Mrs. Telfer and Mrs. Allcock.
